How can Trinity Bible Church partner with people overseas in a way that builds the Kingdom of God?
We knew that God wanted us to partner with a specific group of people. Not people that we would just meet once and move on, but with a group of people that we could relate to and get to know their names and faces. And when we heard about Village Partnerships through World Hope International, we knew that we had found what we were looking for. We had found a way that we could partner with a village overseas to bring sustainable development to them along with the Gospel. At first it seemed like to big of a project. Can we really partner as a church with a whole village? But after paying off our mortgage as a church, we decided that we needed to direct a new fund that would go not necessarily to us, but to a people and a project that we could impact for Jesus Christ.
Now we are moving forward as partners with village of Rogbere, Sierra Leone. The great thing about this partnership is that it is fully focused on sustainability. We are not the experts coming in to tell them how to run their lives. We are working with them to accomplish the goals that they already have been working towards.
